January 19 - The Cat Came Back
As I wrote yesterday we seem to have been adopted by a black cat. After being almost killed with kindness yesterday by Molly and Max (but mostly Molly) she took off late in the afternoon and we thought that might be the last we saw of her. Molly was very sad to see her go because as far as he is concerned, Buttons (as the kids have named her) is her pet. Well Buttons returned late last night, crying at the door hoping to be allowed inside (never going to happen due to our allergies) and to Molly's delight she was still there this morning. I have to wonder where Buttons came from because she is very tame and obviously used to being around kids. A mystery to be solved!
