Byron Cinema, Hucknall, Notts

Another cinema by the local specialist Alfred Thraves, the Byron opened in November 1936, with a 1,189 seat auditorium. In 1967, it was converted to cine-bingo, with bingo in the stalls and a 404 seat cinema in the former balcony. The cinema operation closed in 2006, although the bingo soldiers on.
