I am from NYC and out of all of the Northeast, including Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont, this section of NW NJ blows all of New England out of the water with beauty & scenic views of NJ, the Husdon Valley, and NE PA. Believe it or not, the vegetation @ the summit of this peak can only be found atop several other New England peaks & peaks out west. Eventhough it's only 1,803 ft, winters sure are brutal atop this peak! Can't wait til the monument opens.

I have many wonderful memories of family picnics and outings here. Yes, it's windy 12 months of the year. But where else in New Jersey offers such beautiful views?
