'Cuckoo Road' - Proposed route for Shrewsbury Bypass |
'Cuckoo Road' aka Shrewsbury North West
Releif Road (NWRR). Planners and
supporters of this scheme are living in
Cloud Cuckoo Land. (Very appropriately I
heard my first Cuckoo as I set out to
walk the route 22nd April 2010, hence
the name).
I have just surveyed most of the proposed route for Veteran trees. I found over 100 trees that would either have to be cut down or badly affected.

This scheme is so ludicrous and outdated thinking. We need to re-think transport for the future with more sustainable means.
