Did a shoot the other night for a headshot for writer/craftsman/musician/general man-about-town Tom Fidgen to promote his new recording, A Boy Called Fish.

It was great to work with Tom again - I've previously shot in his tiny hand-tool-only workshop for Canadian Woodworking and Home Improvement magazine.

Strobist info: 430EXii into Lumiquest SBIII @ 1/16, camera left. Triggered by 7D.

SI: 430EXii @ 1/8 through shoot-through umbrella camera left. Positioning by VAL. Trigger by 7D. Probably could have been much closer to the wreath and at lower power (for softness), and with a little bit of fill from camera right.
