Bat Falcon (Falco rufigularis) EXPLORED

This was a little later in the Bat Falcon series, the sun was beginning to set at Calakmul.
No funny leg poses or facial expressions, just a more natural regal pose from one of these incredible birds. Definitely one of my top highlights of my 2 week Mexico adventure.

    Calakmul,
    Campeche, Mexico
    December 23, 2009.

Taken with a Canon EOS 50D and a Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM with a Canon EF 1.4x II Extender.
