Pacific Golden-Plover (Pluvialis fulva)

Koke'e State Park. Kauai, Hawaii. 4000+ feet elevation!!

This lil one was quite obliging, almost in full breeding regalia. I thought this was one of the most interesting of the series I shot of this gal/guy. A misting rain in the background.

Taken with a Canon EOS 50D with a Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS USM Lens with a Canon EF 1.4x II Extender.
