What is this site about and why are there so many photos here? Well read on and you will get a full explanation. This site was created by me John Uske, to celebrate my time as an MBA student at the Baruch College Zicklin Graduate School of Business. I was accepted there in January of 2006 and I graduated with my MBA in June of 2010. Immediately after coming on board as a student I wanted to participate in school activities as a way of helping out and giving back. I started by working as a volunteer student leader at the Graduate Student Orientations. I would show the new students around the campus and answer questions about the school. Then in 2007 I got elected to serve on the Board of the Baruch GSA, which stands for Graduate Student Assembly. This organization is the Graduate Student Government of Baruch. It is also the umbrella organization over all the other Graduate Student Clubs at Baruch College. The GSA 2 or 3 times a semester puts on a Graduate Student Social which is a large on campus party where the students can mingle with their classmates and friends to socialize and catch up with what’s going on around the school. There is free food and beverages at these events including beer and wine. I was appointed to be the Social Committee Chair. My job was to arrange for the food and the beverage services as well as the party room set up. I also like to take pictures too. So one day I proposed to the board that we play during the party a slide show of candid shots I took at the previous Social. We did that and it became very popular feature of the Socials. Even 2 years after I graduated I am still going back to the school putting up the slide shows and taking the pictures. I enjoy it and I am glad to do it because I am glad it makes the students happy and they enjoy it. See you at the next social.
