It was just a fence... until it snowed.

She really isn't a fatty catty - just comfy and fluffy. Mattie just loves shoeboxes! She doesn't even mind the bits of Christmas paper stuck to the box (and she has one of her little weeble toys inside). It seems she can read, too.

What more can I say - Mattie knows what she's doing.

This fella did let me stand under the tree and watch him (possibly her as it seems the females are bigger) dine. There was another eagle on a nearby branch and a couple of ravens, but no fear of this one losing its meal. I took a few quick shots before dinner time ended. This, too, with the ordinary camera and lens, so I hope to get back for seconds.

Again, I know that these are not up to quality. Still, I thought that just seeing the sheer numbers and activities of all these eagles (even if unclearly) would be interesting to some.

I hope to find a clear day - with lumpy gear and help - to go back for better shots. Meanwhile, I hope you can enjoy these, a bit.
