Today I am grateful that I made it home from work safely. We had
horrendous storms this afternoon and I got caught driving home in
them. Torrential rain, hail and wind. A lot of the roads flooded as
the drains couldn't take the heavy down pour. I ended up changing my
route a couple of times, the first time because I knew that a weir I
usually drive over would be flooded and the second time I heard on the
radio that another of the roads I take was flooded and closed as well.
I have never driven in anything like that before and hope I never
have to again.
