Tony Armstrong [The Personal Account]'s photostream

A quick shot, taken on Grand Cayman Island, from my just-completed-vacation. This really made me think of the island's history as a maritime port for pirates, explorers and now, tourists.

Taken outside of (the former) St. Vincent's Medical Center, in Greenwich Village, New York City.

The hospital closed after some malfeasance (though the owner alleges it was simple "economics") leaving the lower Manhattan between Chambers Street and 32nd Street without a Tier One Trauma Center or acute care facility.

The hospital handled many victims of 9/11 and was a stalwart part of the community.

This was a single shot (though multiple exposure) using the HDR function on my iPhone 4 -- not exactly the intended purpose but hey, it's pretty cool.
