"Boy, The Way Glenn Miller Played ..."

    The Archie Bunker house on Cooper Avenue in either Glendale or Rego Park (nobody seems to know exactly which town it's in) in Queens, New York. The house is about half a mile from where I live. The Bunkers and Jeffersons (later the Stivics, after the Jeffersons moved on up) would have shared this two-family house. Look at the small tree in front of the house when you watch the show -- that's the same much more mature tree you see here. Also, I found the ancient pub that would certainly have been "Kelsey's" right around the block -- it's still in operation (it's called "Cooper's). The one thing about this setting that doesn't ring true is that a cemetery is right across the street from this house. But the Bunkers didn't live across the street from a cemetery! I bet the producers chose this site because the residents across the street wouldn't bother the film crew.
