I'm assuming that Lynn is going to submit a coupe Palouse pics and I certainly don't want to compete against hers because that's virtually futile. :-)
I'm kind of surprised at the monochromatic sense to both the color shots. The top right one is from Cottonwood Cove in the Vermilion Cliffs area which is just north of the Grand Canyon. Of course, the other one is from Lower Antelope Canyon and the color was achieved by underexposing the shot by one stop. There's roughly 40 miles separating those two locations and yet, the essential colors are the same - the purples/pinks and yellows/oranges. One due to minerals and the other light. Crazy I know. Anyway, both are such visual treats (not to mention wonders of the physical world) for your eyes and if you're in that area, you should check them out.
