The funniest find from our trip to Thrift Town yesterday: The "Guess what I'm pregnant" love puzzle with dead bunny! I don't know what's better, the inappropriate dead bunny, or the fact that it's written in Helvetica!

i had the same reaction as pen_i1- totally freaked out!
other than that- yeah, the dead bunny in reference to a pregnancy is a *tad* bit weird!

Holy cow that is a FANTASTIC find. The dead bunny is weird......but then so is a puzzle announcing one is pregnant!
Oh - and what do you have against Helvetica? (Just curious...)

Jennoit: no no, I LOVE Helvetica!! :) In fact, it's my most favorite font! Have you seen that new documentary on Helvetica? If not, I highly recommend it! It's informative and entertaining! :D

I haven't, but I really am interested in type. I have a small collection of "j" letters from old skool printing presses. I used to be awfully fond of serif fonts (Palatino), but of late I have been into Verdana (new and Microsoft as it is). Anyhow - thanks for the documentary recommendation!

I just noticed something else that adds to the deadpan delivery of the message: it's "Guess what" with a period instead of a question mark. Weird.

Hey! So I learned from a friend that this dead rabbit thing is apparently not as random as we think. I guess back in the day before modern pregnancy tests were created, they used to take the urine from a woman and inject it into a rabbit if she was suspected to be pregnant.
