Warburton creek Jan 2012

One of the many small creeks and tributaries flowing through leafy green Warburton in Victoria, Australia. On the day I shot this, the sun was beaming on the ferns, creating a high light contrast between the upper and lower levels of foliage, giving the shot a slghtly mysterious feel.

Rainbow lorikeet in eucalypt flowers

Christmas - Australia style! It's mid-summer here, long, hot days.... and the eucalpytus (gum) trees are bursting into flower. This rainbow lorikeet thinks all its Christmases have come at once :)
