Hook Head Lighthouse, Co. Wexford - Storm Approaching

    Photography by Kevin A. Logan - WindowsToIreland.com

This was the first time I ventured down on the rocks while the surf was rough. Because I shoot with a very wide angle lens, I was in fact considerably closer to the water's edge and the surf than it appears in the photograph. I reckon I felt a bit more secure than I would normally, because I good friend was sitting higher up on the rocks. I figured that if I got swept away by the surf, at least someone would know about it. In any event, getting close did allow for a very dramatic photograph. Not too long after I finished shooting the wind howled and it poured rain.
