Dacryopinax spathularia

I found those fungi on a burnt log of wood, just after a rain fall on the mountain village of Balamban, in Cebu.

'Bright yellow troops of this jelly fungus often decorate wooden tables, chairs and fences, in addition to decaying or burnt logs in forest openings. They quickly dry to inconspicuous orange filaments after the rain stops, but just as quickly spring back again to brilliance in the next shower.'

Dacryopinax spathularia (syn. Guepinia spathularia) is an edible jelly fungus. It is orange in color. In Chinese culture, it is called guihua er (桂花耳; literally "sweet osmanthus ear," referring to its similarity in appearance to that flower). It is sometimes included in a vegetarian dish called Buddha's delight. (Wikipedia)
