warm winter afternoon
I've been spending a lot of time on Barn Island lately, now that I'm back on the coast. It's always been one of my favorite spots and a beautiful environment to explore. This warmer winter we're having has kept the ice off the marshes but it's been cool enough to keep the ticks more or less at bay. - What this means is it's a great time to walk the deer paths and slog around at the edge of the marsh. - a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

i love this time of day - the time when the setting sun turns the entire atmosphere a warm rosy shade.
