I had trouble working this one out. 'wow, a bargain lingo', I thought. scored me a bargain at the checkout. took it home, plugged it into my LP12, still no 45RPM. what am I doing wrong? #; )

silent night

silent night

well, it was! Wellington was beautifully calm yesterday evening, christmas eve. I had missed much of the golden hour; caught it just at the end, hurridly setting up my tripod and long lens to catch some of the dusk. breathtaking, I thought.

for guess where wellington, where is this? name any three roads correctly for the bonus points.

for those of you into the technical stuff, I've not added any sharpening. it's just been processed in Aperture with minor exposure tweaks. it's one sharp lens.

ISO100, 30 seconds, f11.

Merry Christmas, Flickr Friends!

sorry kids - xmas is cancelled...

sorry kids - xmas is cancelled...

you see, I ate Santa for lunch. I went to my local sandwich shop, and was drawn to the Santa Sandwich.

I guess he was thinly sliced, so he made a lot of people happy at least. especially with the cranberry, rocket, and pecans!

yummy Christmas, even if it is the last.

enjoyed in front of my iMac 27 i7 16GB, shot with my trusty 50mm @f1.4. the image, not santa. Wishbone harvested, I merely consumed and enjoyed. #8 o

AF-n Nikkor 28-85mm f3.5-4.5

AF-n Nikkor 28-85mm f3.5-4.5

more Nikon pr0n product photography.

it's time to sell off some lenses, care of the ethereal auction house. need to put some $$ back in the bank after acquiring the 70-200 2.8VR. other casualties will be 50 1.8 AF-D, 28 2.8 AF-D, and eventually, my 70-210 f4-5.6D.

this one's super-sharp. I'll be left with no wide for my film body until I sort out a 20mm or 24mm prime.
