      It just flashes "Err...Err...Err". Have tried swapping lenses, CF, battery, resetting, etc.

      Is the lens having problems coming out? Is this the S400?

      Mine did that once after I dropped it, way back when. I slapped it around a little bit and it came back to life (only time I've ever been abusive to a camera -- I felt guilty about it for weeks)
