A game you can play...
DISCLAIMER I'm not the smartest dressed person by a long shot, and neither am I a photo-stalker, though lately...
Ugg style boots are mostly OK with me. At a push, they can look sexy in the right combination (DEFINITELY NOT with TRACK PANTS) and I can appreciate their practical appeal. I'm not so sure about the above though.
We call it "Ugg Boot Syndrome":
Notice in Fig 1 the heel making almost total contact with the ground through the side of the boot, with the sole of the boot sticking out, trying to escape like a burger from a bun.
Fig 2 shows a guess where the actual foot may be - surely not comfortable, and as for stylish - what do you think?
I'd give this about an 8/10 on the UBS scale - I've seen worse.
Maybe next time you're out, have a look and see what scores you can find.

Not a good look. I do like, however, your diagrams ;D.

Ugg!
orrible,
nice try at imagining what the foot is doing inside the boot although I suspect this person's ankles must be deformed from wearing those awful boots.

This person needs stability shoes for their overpronation. That's the runner talking in me.

Ugg!
If people knew how to walk properly this wouldn't happen!

I've noticed this trend to but in fairness I have to comment that it never seems to happen with real uggs but more with the fake brands like emus. they seem to have no lateral support so they break down and collapse like this.
Next time you see this, look carefully for the litte ugg tag and I'll bet you dollasr to donuts there isnt one

yup rnourse - I'm sure you're right, the knockffs are pretty much just socks with soles stuck on - I quite like Uggs, and might get a pair myself for ape-snowboard this year if I can afford them... If I do I'll go for the originals or a well made NZ knockoff pair with real sheepskin :-)

Yes, those are some terrible knock-offs. Even though I live in sunny L. A., during the cold months, my feetsies tend to get cold so I decided to order me some UGGs, my first pair, ever, at ZapposUGG. Oh, my, God. they're heavenly. Not only are they very comfy, but the sheepskin fleece inside is so thick and dense, and so soft and plush, and they keep my feet up to my mid-calves soooo nice and toasty. I didn't want to take them off, ever.
And, yes, they are expensive, but they are of the highest quality and would last a long time and worth every penny.
tobybear, save your money and get yourself a pair! You'll love, love, love them! :)

Yes - I concede these are cheap, nasty knock-offs. The well made sheepskin ones definitely have their place. I have some Aus made sheepskin lined slippers which are ace, and I have valued highly in the winter. The boots... on guys... the jury's still out a little about their acceptance! - apre ski, under ski pants, sweet-as but as for other out and about activity, there's a few who wear them but mostly women and girls.
Glad you're enjoying yours so much !
