Looks like air streaming over the bike.
I try to imagine what it would look like if there were more colored lines. - cszar

cszar... yes...I was admiring that one of yours the other day. I had been planning this for some time after studying many of yours.

I have a lot more to learn.

Doesn't look like you need to do much more - you're pretty much nailed it already!
I'd try to incorporate a motion effect - painting the spokes from behind using fast movements.

I took ...as you can imagine....a ton of shots... on the ones that I liked the most like this one... I tried to paint the back of the image and I think that is where some of these streaks come from. Now that I see more clearly what the effect is...I can create some wheel motion effects I had failed on! Again...thanks.

I've been trying all night to recreate some of this stuff. What sort of light are you using? I have a very powerful LED flashlight, a less powerful pocket LED and a laser pointer. They all seem to spill too much light, its like drawing with a spray gun rather than a brush...

    What am I doing wrong?

How do you change the colors, i mean there is no way you used a flashlight for every color. Right?
