Sunset Cruising

We chartered a 33' catamaran for four days cruising around the Andaman coast in Phang Nga bay near Phuket/Krabi.

Here the sun sets behind our beautiful boat. We watched from a sandbar after snorkelling over some coral. I slept out on the deck each night, rocking gently under a brightly starred sky. It was spectacular.

The owner of our catamaran, a grizzly old Dutchman named Kris who had remarkable stories from his 68 years of living full to the fullest. His tales included flying aid missions in Nigeria and the Congo in the 60's, sabotaging Shell operations all over sub-saharan Africa, and sailing all over the world.

We puttered our dinghy through a cave at low tide, to access this muddy cove. We continued on out in a loop back to our boat.
