      Hi Cathy, not edible as they are realy because too bitter but I believe back in the day people used to make preserves from the berries.

      Laura lol ... there was a blackbird feeding on the berries just before I took my shot. Shame he flew away before I had a chance to capture him too.

      Blues, nooo dont say that, we need a bit more summer first ... btw these berries often come out very early.
