CORNucopias of Plentiful Abundance
"Corn" is emphasized in the title because in the girlie cartoonist's field, corn isn't just a load of crop, it's the staple of our existence. Along with the curvaceous cuties, the trite, the obvious, the predictably inane, the easy shot and the bad pun are what give the classic girlie cartoon that cheap charm that those of us who love the genre love about it. I mean, when it comes to sophomoric humor, we're all perennially held over in our freshman year. And so it occurred to me that at this Thanksgiving season, along with Family and Friends, God and country, our Constitution, and Our Glorious English Language, I should be thankful for corn--and I don't mean the maize the Native Americans introduced our Pilgrim ancestors to. No, I'm talking about those horns of plenty that that latter day Squanto-ette Kitty D'Alessio gave me when, in 1949, she came up with the ad campaign that has provided some of the most abundant harvests of corny joke ideas I have ever reaped. It's almost as if the woman was less interested in selling brassieres than she was in inspiring me to make bad jokes about them. Indeed, thanks to her, when it comes to ideas for juvenile humor, one might say (and, as you have no doubt guessed, one most assuredly will), my cups runneth over.
On a more serious note, since I was also making sport of it, I decided I really should get around to actually reading "The Scarlet Letter" (I'm sometimes slightly amazed at the vast amount of classic literature I studiously avoided reading in pursuit of my liberal arts degree).
And, on an even more serious note:
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Thanks, Introvert AZ Nerd, GORDO-8--glad you liked it!
r8r--believe me, if I knew Thing 1 about computer animation (or had enough shekels in my pocket to afford the software to teach myself), my little bimbos would be bouncing through all kinds of action-adventures!
