A Bee in MY Easter Bonnet

It's a little early, but I told myvintagevogue I was thinking about doing one and I was afraid if I didn't get started and crank it out I wouldn't get it done in time. I tried something new on this one--shading. I don't know if it's worth the extra effort or not. It does look a little better to me, but for the amount of time it takes, it ought to look a LOT better. I also spent some time studying the artwork on old dress pattern packages and made her right foot a little more like the ones on them, which allowed me to turn out her leg and crook it a bit without my standard Betty & Veronica "elongated teardrop" foot looking weird hanging off the end of it (one the dress pattern packages was also where I found the dress style). But, no matter how it looks, it can't hide the fact that after four college semesters of fashion illustration, I'm still blessed with a complete inability to draw flat-chested women.
