   Thanks. I tried to make my Second Life avatar look like me. I actually mapped my own face over the skin. Then in real life I tried to match the pose and hair-do etc. Yes. I am a big nerd. :)

   Impressive! I didn't really try to hard to get mine to look like me. Just somewhat resemble the real me.. ;)

   Been ages since I logged in to SL now.

   All you need to do is take a evenly lit photo of yourself, then make sure it is a tga and then slap it on your avy.
   :)

   There are templates out there on the web so you can align the mouth and eyes, etc.

   I have looked for soooo long to find out how to make something like this out of my picture.. would it be to much to ask how you did it? Or where there is some templates for this?

   Step 1 - Find a Second Life template for a face.
   Step 2 - Take a evenly lit photo of you face. Face on angle. No flash.
   Step 3 - Photoshop it to make any touch ups or to fix skin tone.
   Step 4 - Upload face file to Second Life and attach to your avatar.
   Step 5 - Go to Edit Appearance in SL and go to wear you can edit eyes.
   Step 6 - Pan around in SL to the angle you want.
   Step 7 - Take photo in SL.
   Step 8 - Take new photo of you in real life at the same angle your avatar was at.
   Step 9 - Match up the 2 photos in photoshop.

    I love your image and I would like to use for my thesis, I'm talking about the importance of the appearance of virtual characters.
