What an awesome album. This is definitely someplace I'd like to visit. Could you go inside the buildings? And were they carved right out of the hillside? Totally fascinating. And very very beautiful photographs. You did an excellent job.

Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, you can get right inside many of the building and they are carved out of the rock. We spent two days in Petra as part of a nine day tour of Jordan, but I would love to go back as Petra in particular is a huge site with loads to see. We found the people very welcoming too and pleased to see tourists. The rocks are fantastic colours. It's called the rose red city, but the buildings tend to look golden in the morning and pink in the evening. Some, like the Urn Tomb, are a rich gold all day. By the way, I had a look at your site which is incredible - amazingly creative! I'm sure you woud love the colours and decoration at Petra. Thanks again!
