Sun House, on the National Register of Historic Places and a California Registered Historical Landmark was home to Dr John and Grace Hudson. Built of redwood in a unique craftsman style in 1911-12, it was designed by the Hudsons with San Francisco architect George Wilcox. The signature lamps were designed by Dr John Hudson and George Wilcox. Dr Hudson was a physician and authority on Northern California Indians, and Grace Hudson was a noted painter of Pomo Indian life. On the same property is the Grace Hudson Museum, which exhibits her paintings as well as a variety of temporary art exhibits. www.gracehudsonmuseum.org
