Straumur Revisited

This is a shot from almost two months ago. This was the only proper Aurora session I have had this year. The sun has been very inactive, the weather rather foul and combined with bad luck does not produce alot of Aurora shots.

This location is only 5 minutes drive from my home so I go there alot (some might have noticed that hehe). But it is a beautiful location, much overlooked by visitors as behind me there is a huge aluminum smelter.

That is an amazing image. It has such a sense of serenity that it is hard to believe there is a big aluminium smelter nearby.

You are lucky to live in a place with so much photographic potential. Even though the weather has been bad, you have produced a jaw-dropping image.

it doesn't matter how many times you get to the same place...it's unique anytime you are there...how many times have we kissed our wives since we met? It's unique any time it happens...so, hang loose my friend and keep 'em coming. Seasonal greetings from Switzerland. Peter

Chee Seong: A good time is March. The night is still fairly long and the weather getting a less stormy than it is now. Also in march there is good chances for the essential snowy foreground. Feel free to contact me for further information on a trip to Iceland.

Another great aurora borealis shot, it's just beautiful, thanks for sharing =)

  41. ArcticShooter (42 months ago | reply)

I really like this. The clouds makes it a little more mysterious.
If you get the chance try to blend to images so the house windows are not overexposed
