Frozen Flakes
It might be one of the last real winterday here in Iceland. I went out to lake Kleifarvatn, just a stones throw away from my home (15-20mins).
The lake was mostly iceless because of the sun. This part of the lake closest to the mountain is still in a shadow during most of the day so it does not thaw as fast. Those ice formations are formed when wind pushes flakes of ice, that freeze in other parts of the lake during the night, into this shadowedpart of the lake. Here the freeze together forming these nice patterns.

I thought this was a long exposure of moving water from the thumbnail image. Very pretty patterns and textures! Love the great shades of blue and white too!
