Went out when the Aurora forecast was predicting low activity. For about 1-2 hours there was high activity and I went the shortest way out of the city to a place near Straumur Art center: www.flickr.com/photos/13547802@N05/1590647317
The foreground was lit by a moon shining 3/4 full. Only got a couple of shot before the Aurora faded out.
Canon EOS 30D, EF 16-35mm f2.8 @16mm, a f4.5 and 30 second exposure @ ISO400
