tough call. i've recently fallen in love
with the 6x6 format, but at the same time
work in the film industry so i love the 16:9
as well.
this is a great shot either way, but i think
A is more of a 'tease'. you can JUST see
that she's turned her head, but it's cut out
of frame (i'm guessing totally intentional).
personally i'm yearning to see her full face
so i can see that perhaps she's making eye
contact with that guy in the bg, and having a
split second of interaction with him. so for
that reason i like B more because you can't
see her head turn and now the photo becomes
more about the onlooker and not what she's
looking over her shoulder for.
to ME, A is more about her and what she's
turning around for, so i want to see her full
face (or profile), and B is about the
onlooker reacting to what's in the front of
the frame.
The board is a custom shape by Randy Sleigh Great points. In crop A the onlooker looks
a lot less creepy/lustful than in crop B.
The relationship between the 2 subjects feels
more human in crop A, whereas in crop B the
female is being objectified even more. Thanks
for the comment!

i prefer A
the girl in B looks lke she's pasted onto the background
in A you can see a link between the guy and the girl
great game! it wouldn't be nearly as fun without the beautiful surfer girl though :)

Crop A is much better, no doubt.

both make interesting discussion on framing, but i prefer this one
though it will be admittedly less interesting without the preceding shot

crop A.
I like how the japanese guy with the camera round his neck is so stunned by her beauty, he's not even taking a picture.
