Shun Meets Veggies

Shun Meets Veggies

Just a fancy kitchen knife and some veggies on a cutting board. It's been a while since I've posted an image, thought I'd toss something together real quick. Got this knife over the holidays and thought it looked quite nice so I thought I'd share!

Lighting the textured surface was a bit of a challenge, this ended up being the one I liked. Alas, you can see a little bit of wood on the corner of the blade near the hilt where the knife dug in from being rested on it... it's very sharp!

Lighting info: 20 degree Gridded AlienBees B800 to left and in front of subject, Einstein w/ 8.5" reflector right next to it, bare SB600 in the back behind everything, triggered via CyberSync.

Rushing Water

Rushing Water

Just some rocks and some water, thought it looked nifty, had my neutral density filter with me and thought I'd give it a shot. Had to hand-hold it in front of my 35mm lens here cuz I forgot my step-up ring, d'oh.

McAfee Falls

McAfee Falls

McAfee Falls at Cunningham State Park, there were a LOT of people here so it was difficult for me to get a wide shot. I didn't think this one turned out too bad. More exercise for the debut of my neutral density filter.

All up in my biz

All up in my biz

Cat sees ring flash, cat sniffs ring flash, take picture of cat. Viola! More doofy fisheye cat pics!

Lighting info: SB-600 into "DIY" ring flash modifier doohickey, triggered via Cactus V5.

Edit: Is there any irony in a Cat that looks like a Mouse having her picture taken with a Fisheye? >_>

Copper

Copper

Jeez it's been a while since I've uploaded anything. Here's something I snapped several weekends ago at the Natural History Museum in DC. It's a huge sheet of copper ore, thought it looked quite nifty. From this angle, almost looks like a landscape from far above.
