COFFE BREAK AT STARBUCK'$
Tho I prefer patronizing my local independent coffee house, on occasion I have a hankering for a "cupp'a joe" while Im out around town. So that's how I found my self at Starbucks near the U of M, Regis Center for the Arts, where I had been printing some photos.
we have a large Somalian population in Minnesota. I believe it may be the largest in the United States. Well, it appeared that all the Somali males congregated at this Startucks's.
This fellow is quite representative of what was going on around me. An all Somali male cast of craftsmen, laborers, executives drinking coffee, and either pecking away or talking on their smart phones.
This was a classic scene of Americana - - workers on coffee break. The only substantive things that changed in this scene from whenever the first coffee break started, are the presence of technology vis-a-vis the smart phone and the color of the patrons . . . . it still is American nevertheless . . .
