Smooth Flow

A 2.30am start, yes that's right 2.30am!, saw me heading for Saltwick Bay on the North Yorkshire coast.
Arriving at 5.00am as the sky was just turning from black to dark blue as the first signs of light started to appear, i thought i would be the only person down on the beach at this ridiculous hour. But no, i was beaten to it by 2 other "toggers"!!!
After safely navigating the "foot path" down to the beach i immediately placed my self in the icey cold North Sea and grabbed this shot of the first bit of colour to appear in the sky.

I prefer this shot to the mono one - the colours are surreal, and simply stunning! Although the mono one is lovely too :)

Thanks Ellen. It was that surrealness that made me think twice about the colour in this one, wasn't sure weather it looked too un-natural.

@ Sarah Yes the early start did pay off as i got some really good shots. However the sunrise wasn't as dramatic as i'd hoped as it was quite hazy.
