Field of gold

    Despite the severe drought we're experiencing this summer, the local farmer's field was bursting with sunflowers. He grows them for bird seed.

    Here the flowers are standing like sentinals, frozen in an south-east posture to catch the morning and mid-day sun. The circular polarizer made the colors super-saturated.

      This is indeed where you think it is. I took mine on Saturday evening around 7:00. The heat from the sun really took its toll on these beauties.
      I was kicking myself for not using the circular polarizing filter. I see you did with spectacular results.
