South Whale Catchup

South Whale Catchup

Thanks to John Armytage for organising a very cool catchup with some other photogs this morning (all 21). Was great to meet everyone and enjoy a lovely breakfast.

Just a quick post from one of the shots. Went for a more desaturated feel due to a lack of colour.

Thanks for looking.

Charlottes Waterfall

Charlottes Waterfall

A shot taken on the recent trip down to the snowy mountains of NSW, Standing alone in the middle of nowhere is such a surreal feeling. Its hard to convey through a photo but picture the melted snow covered ground, the howling wind, the feeling of cold and yet all at once happy. Too good

I processed the raw file twice and then blended back in PS for dynamic range purposes

Adaminaby Tree

Adaminaby Tree

Captured on the shores of Lake Eucumbene down towards the Snowy Mountains of NSW, Australia. The landscape around here is such an amazing scene and well worth visiting. Captured this one as the sun dropped towards the horizon sending off a magnificent orange. There was a lightning storm going on inside that cloud there but it didn't get any closer...unfortunately.

Thanks for looking.

Lit Trees

Lit Trees

Something a bit different from me for a change. As I was driving along a quiet country road on the way to Old Adaminaby, I noticed the play of light on the rolling hills. So..I Stopped and took some snaps..cause I could

Processed a bit different to go for some muted colour and try to enhance the sunlight a bit. Anyway..let me know what you think. I was very tempted to go for a panorama crop and I might do that one day..I just didn't want to get rid of the sky that much

Cheers

Thredbo River Run Off

Thredbo River Run Off

Captured this image not long after the previous post. I went on a beautiful walk following the thredbo river, ducking in and out of trees to try and find some new locations. It is a nice reminder of the morning with the freshness in the air and the sound of the rushing water
