Peacock Mantis Shrimp

Very brightly colored female mantis shrimp protecting its eggs rolled into a ball with its front legs. Very rare sight found in Semporna waters. Strikes of its 'smashing' claws have the force of a 22 caliber bullet. Do not touch this shrimp as its powerful claws can crack a camera dome port or split your finger.
