    Thank you, I just found out tonight that it was on explore, after investigating where all these awesome comments and favorites were coming from! Thanks so much everyone!
    Who is this girl? No idea, she and her friends were dressed up harajuku style as far as I could tell. Just whatever they felt like basically. I though they were all cute, and just had to grab their picture. I noticed she had gum and requested her to keep the bubble blown out and I think it turned out pretty good.

    Well I assume because it was on explore?? Not sure why else, although this entire set is being looked at right now a ton due to the convention that it was taken at this past weekend. So far, this set has nearly 15,000 views just since Monday when I uploaded them. Typical for a convention though. But it doesn't seem that these nice commenters are related to the convention.

    Hmmm, nope, I haven't been to a convention in a few months.....I saw it before it was on explore....but thanks for calling us "nice commenters"
    As I say, it doesn't pay to question the mystery of flickr, although 15,000 views since Monday?????????? I have only 4000 and I have been here since May I think and I have almost 2000 photos of cute puppies, sunsets, and family. Now I am really wondering how it works..darn it and it is late, I can't think

    Well, what's odd is on the set itself it says I have nearly 15,000 views. However, on my main flickr page, my view count has not gone up by 15,000 since Monday, only by a few hundred. I'm not sure how it counts views to a set, but apparently it's different than how the main user's flickr page are counted. I've long requested to flickr for a way to tell the referring URL to to images, along with numerous stats suggestions. Of course, none of them have been implemented. I'm always curious as to where the picture may be linked from, not for privacy reasons more so for curiosity and proud reasons that people like the pic. Pictures of cute puppies, sunsets and family are great too, I have some of that myself!

    radial, I don't really understand the whole view thing either sometimes - there are secrets to flickr and explore that us mere mortals will never understand
