Candle in the wind
The hand belongs to Amir, a friend of mine from Iran...one of several Persian students from Athens and Atlanta, GA who held a candlelight vigil on Friday, the 26th June in honor of Neda and others who have martyred their lives in the fight for democracy in Iran.
Neda's death added fuel to the flickering flame of hope for Iranians...and despite attempts by the Government to suppress the impact of her death, she is now the most powerful symbol of freedom for the people of Iran.
