The thick book documents the use of JavaScript in browsers, which is a big, ugly, hairy problem because of browser vendors, not because of the language. The little book talks about JavaScript itself, and even then only some of it.

Suggesting only a little bit of JavaScript is good because that book about JavaScript-and-DOM-in-browsers is too thick is pure troll.

Unless you're only trying to be funny, in which case.. lol?

Crockford is such a wonderfully concise writer. Sorry if that ruins the joke.

I imagine that's the case with most languages.

At 1032 pages ... it's not a bed time read but if u want to know all about Javascript then this is the book. Worth having on the reference shelf.

At least there are good parts.... unlike a few geek-popular languages that I've used/been abused by over the decades.... (*cough*perl*cough*)
