Nordic Nights
Last night I went to see the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra perform a program they titled: "Nordic Nights" including Nielsen's first symphony, Hummel's trumpet concerto, performed beautifully by George Vosburgh, and finally, the Pièce de résistance, the marvelous 'Suite from Peer Gynt' by Edvard Grieg. What a magnificent trio!
I thought these three flowers from Phipps might represent a nice composition with which to describe my splendid evening of music! :)
