Snow Geese and Greater White Fronted Geese doing a stop over on their migration in a cultivated field near Batesville, Texas.

Mega Mound

Texas Leaf-Cutting Ant - Atta texana
This mound I found today was at least 13 feet wide and close to five feet tall. There were thousands of ants crawling all over it stripping nearby foliage of it's leaves. I found a mound last year that was at least 15 feet tall. These ants build HUGE colonies.
