Eggshell Mosaic

    Newer Older

Unfortunately, I didn't dye Easter eggs this past weekend. But I did dye them one not-Easter, a few years back. Then I smashed the shells up and used them to color in this picture of Grover!
Instructions on how to do Eggshell Mosaic are in the Muppets' Big Book of Crafts, and this particular image of Grover that I used as my pattern came from a coloring page on the Play With Me Sesame website.

Hardest part of this project? Getting eggs to be Grover's shade of deep blue. Never quite got there.

SQUEE! This photo made Explore on April 15th, 2007. #43!
My first time in Explore. :D :D

I confess with a mixture of secret delight and shame, soopahgrover, that I absolutely LOVE your flickr alias. It makes me fall to the floor in a fit of giggles nearly every time!

And after having seen this skillful handiwork of yours, I had to wait until I could breathe again before I was able to type, so powerful was the burst of laughter. :) (Not at your talent, which is superb, but the whole "soopahgrover" concept. Pure genius and wit!).

      Eggs-cellent!

Funny coincidence that you used orange as the background colour - it is the same colour as my ultimate frisbee team jersey... Super Grover (aka Grover Party, Grover in Lederhosen, Grover - we have evolved over the years, but always maintained our love for the furry blue monster!)
