      Yeah, it was much older vintage than the door it was on, so I was glad to see someone rescued it from the trash, yet kept it in the school. I would have been tempted to put it on my own door, probably. :)

      That is a great doorknob.
      The city used to put all sorts of amazing details in its public buildings.

      I don't think those are the old school ones. they were replaced because they are worth more in their weight, than being a door knob.

      These are not things that wind up in the trash, nor should they be made into belt buckles, they sell for an average of over $100 on Ebay
