When I talk to foreign people and I tell them I'm from Norway, they tend to ask me if I've seen the northern lights. Up until last night I had never seen it. It was pure luck.

It was almost midnight and I realized I hadn't been outside the house all day, so I decided to take a short walk. I saw that the sky was clear, so I brought a camera and a tripod with me to take some star photos. After walking for about 5 minutes I began to see a very faint green color in the sky and about a minute later I realized it was the northern lights. Which I had never seen before, so I was pretty stoked. The light pollution kinda sucks though...

First picture using gelled flashes. Not sure how I feel about it...

Strobist info: SB-900 left and right. One with red gel and one with blue gel. Both @ 1/4 power. Triggered via pocketwizards.

This is my first composite image, ever. Pretty satisfied with the result.
