Give your tee
Give one tee, get a smile free: Of the first batch of 8 tee shirts and a kurta painted, gave out two as the other kids weren't there. The tot in her arms is a new addition! The one on the right is my friend, Tanjali. Has the most brilliant smile, at ALL times, she NEVER cries, not even when she used to ask for alms. Now she tells the other kids, "Don't ask didi for money, she gives toffees." While begging is not to be encouraged, what is the fault of these kids? TRY igiving them a toffee sometime and see their faces change. Children, remain children, even in torn clothes. Sigh. Again, request for old tee shirts and clothes: I have picked 8 of my personal favourites, VERY comforable shirts. I am asking for a tee shirt you DON'T like. GIVE me that. Only ONE. It wouldn't spoil your wardrobe.
