Cheap DIY Window Seat from MAKE

    This could be a really good, cheap solution. As long as cinder blocks are safe to sit on...! I think we even have some floating around.

      Such a clever solution. I still think using the ikea Lack unit as a bench would be a good solution for you, because of the storage space it would add and the simplicity of design....but this sure is a great alternative...plus you can make it to your own specifications. It does look fabulous.....Right on!!

      Lack is not designed to hold a lot of weight. Don't sit on it!

      Yeah, I keep hearing that. They look good but... I don't want to break them! If I go with a window seat this looks like a way to do it dirt cheap and still look half decent.
