The screen was at the entrance end of the
building. Part of Portsmouth Town Cinemas, it
was acquired by Shipman and King in the
1960's along with the rest of the circuit.
Ah! the palace cinema. As a 6/7 yo kid I used to scrounge the 5d
(five old pennies) = 2p admission charge and
settle down in the stalls and watch the
complete 2 film programme through twice(or
more) as it was then a continuous
performance.
